The puzzle

The puzzle  started  in 2010 when I wrote  this post.

Two interested people commented, one in 2011, and the other in 2015.

Holly (Legasse) Dube says:

My name is Holly (Legasse) Dube.
I stumbled on your site while trying to find my ancestry.
My father is George Philip Legasse.(originally Lagasse, but was misspelled in the military).

My Grandfather was George A Lagasse. From there I am stumped. I do not have info on my Grandfather’s family.
George was married to Albertine (Deschenes) Lagasse and lived in New Britain, CT.

I was reading your site.
You posted about one of Idala’s sons, George (1908-1985).
He was one of the sons sent to an orphanage.
Did you or Alyce ever get more information on that George???

I don’t know much about that part of my family.
I was just reunited with my father 2 years ago.

My father and my Uncle Gene may have more information on my Grandfather George.

I would love to be in contact with Holly from above comment or anyone in relation to “George was married to Albertine (Deschenes) Lagasse and lived in New Britain, CT”.

Albertine is my 1st cousin 2x removed and she has a sister who is currently still living in the same home that Albertine was in at the time of her death. Looking forward to hearing from family members.

I can’t recall if Holly replied to my e-mails, but the next one surely did, and gave me enough clues to look further in the past.

Obits for life

To be continued in Belledune, New Brunswick, Canada in 1901.
